The chairman of the Kenyan Taskforce on the review of Sports Policy, Senior Counsel John Ohaga, who is also a long serving managing partner at the top brand legal firm TripleOKLaw LLP has stepped up into a new role of Senior partner as the law firm announced a significant change in leadership.
Ohaga, who served as the chairman of the Sports Disputes Tribunal for two terms since 2016 until November 2024 was, at the expiry of his term appointed by former Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen to lead the taskforce in harmonising the Sports policy 2002 and the Sports Act 2016 into one document to govern sports in Kenya. The taskforce on reviewing Kenya’s sports legal framework and policy is an opportunity to shape the future of sports governance in Kenya.
