Mumbai (01 February, 2025): Cricketing legend Yuvraj Singh is set to don the India Masters jersey in the inaugural season of the International Masters League (IML), scheduled from February 22 to March 16, 2025.

A true match-winner, Yuvraj played a defining role in India’s triumph at the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, famously smashing Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over. He was also the Player of the Tournament in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, playing a pivotal role in India’s victorious campaign.

Expressing his excitement about returning to the field, Yuvraj Singh said:
“Playing alongside Sachin and my former teammates is like stepping back into our golden days. The IML is a celebration of the era that shaped Indian cricket, and I can’t wait to create more unforgettable moments for our fans.”

Joining Yuvraj in the IML are South Africa’s JP Duminy and Sri Lanka’s Upul Tharanga, who will represent their respective national teams.

A gifted stroke-maker and a dependable all-rounder, JP Duminy accumulated over 9,000 international runs and brought stability to South Africa’s middle order with his composure under pressure.

Speaking on his participation, Duminy said: “It’s an honour to represent South Africa Masters in the first season of the IML. This tournament will feature some of the game’s greatest players, and fans can expect exhilarating cricket.”

Upul Tharanga, a stylish and consistent opener, was instrumental in Sri Lanka’s batting lineup, scoring over 9,000 international runs and frequently providing solid starts.

Sharing his thoughts, Tharanga stated: “I am excited to be part of Sri Lanka Masters for the inaugural IML season. It will be a thrilling experience to reunite with old teammates and rivals on the field again.”

With matches set to take place in Navi Mumbai, Rajkot, and Raipur, the IML promises high-intensity action, nostalgic rivalries, and a tribute to cricket’s golden generation.
