Athletics Kenya Director of Youth Development Barnaba Korir who is also vying for the position of the National Olympics Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) 1st Vice President has continued to champion for youth development through sports from the grassroots level.

He lauded the role of Athletics Kenya in nurturing young athletes through holiday training camps spread across the country, calling them โvital talent incubation centers.โ These camps offer not just athletic training but structured mentorship, guiding youth toward elite competition.
The Kosirai Ward tournament was sponsored by Area MCA Hon. Sarah Mutwol, and showcased the raw potential of youth in cross-country, football, and volleyball.
