Nairobi United strengthen technical bench ahead of league return and CAF campaign

Kenya’s representative in the CAF Confederations Cup Nairobi United FC have moved to revamp the team’s technical bench ahead of a grueling run of fixtures in January that is likely to define the FKF cup champions debut season in the Sportpesa League and the continental stage.

Naibois, who had a fairy tale season winning an unprecedented National Super League and Cup double to book a place in the premier league and the CAF Confederations cup have brought on board Boniface Omondi Musa, a CAF B coaching license holder from from Kariobangi Sharks as the new assistant coach to bolster the team’s bench.

Also coming on board is Sadique Ambani Waziri from Ulinzi Stars, a CAF B holder who will be the new second assistant coach and former Kenyan International Kevin Kimani who holds a FIFA certificate as the new strength and conditioning coach.

Nairobi United technical director Salim Ramadhan Ali noted that the revamp is  aimed at improving the team even further as the Kenyan only team at the continental stage aims to make more history in the new year by winning the Sportpesa League as well as retaining the Mozzart Cup.

Head Coach Nicholas Muyoti welcomed the revamp insisting it will help the team in achieving its targets for the season.

The 2024/25 National Super League champions won the second tier league with two matches to spare will for the first time in history play in the top flight league.

Their historic triumph stands in line with yet another historic moment as the team as the Nairobi United beat Gor Mahia in the Mozzartbet cup final.

Nairobi United FC was coronated as the National Super League 2024/2025 champions following a fairy tale season that not only saw the team transformation into the best organized NSL team in Kenya but as well, bagged a life defining ownership dream when the team was adopted by the Sakaja Johnson Foundation at the beginning of the 2024/2025 season.

The team’s NSL glory was been capped with a chance to play in the CAF Confederation cup making them the first team ever to win a Nationwide league and Cup double earning both a ticket to the Premier League and continental football.

En route to their league triumph, Nairobi United secured an unassailable lead in the league winning the title with three matches left before the coronation day, and earned an automatic promotion to the top tier Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
